Amy + Jon || The Engagement

I met up with Amy + Jon last Sunday at Panera Bread to hangout and talk about their upcoming wedding next month. Afterwards, we headed out to Chester Frost for a short engagement shoot in the sun and sand.

After our shoot at Chester Frost, we joined Jon's two adorable little girls at Coolidge Park for a little family session. These girls are SOOOOOO cute!

I loved spending the day with you guys, thanks so much for all your smiles and braving the heat! I can't wait for the wedding next month!

Chassie + Kirt - The Wedding

Ceremony || Patton Chapel
Reception || Memorial Auditorium

Chassie + Kirt tied the knot this past weekend at the beautiful Patton Chapel. I love that place! For you blog stalkers out there, you'll remember Chassie + Kirt from their engagement shoot at the Billards Club and Coolidge Park a few weeks back. I got who knows how many gushing emails from Chassie about those so I can only imagine the excitement over the wedding images... hehe Hope you both had a blast in Jamaica, Mon'

Pretty light + pretty windows + pretty dress = one happy me.

I call this shot "1920's" It has a really classic look to it, I love it!

She has the most incredible eyes.

I absolutely love this. Very dramatic.

Somebody did something right because we had amazing light all day. Chassie is so beautiful in that dress!

Some sassy fun with the girls. An awesome job ladies.

These guys were fun. Completely crazy, but that's the best kind. Here's the GQ shot of the day.

The handsome groom, Kirt. Kirt is awesome, so easy going and fun, not to mention sweet as can be.

Laughing in the face of superstition really gives much more time for creativity and fun for the couples time together. These two are amazing together, plus they did everything I thought of and asked them to and really, it's just all about me ;o)

I love to hear couple's excited about their shooting time. Chassie was all for creative and fun right from the start. Kirt was a tad uncomfortable in the beginning until we told him it was okay to shoot pool during his engagement photos. For the wedding, Chassie was sure to set aside lots of time for creative moments with her girls, Kirt and his guys. I went through the day in a hyper-giddy state. :o)

At 6:30 the doors opened and revealed to a room full of people the beautiful bride and her handsome father. The light was absolutely perfect, we could not have asked for prettier light!

I love the expressions on everyones face. I'm pretty sure the whole room stopped breathing for a minute.

This amazing shot is by the fabulous Rachel Pennington Smith, an extremely talented local photographer. The reflections are amazing, I can't get over them. Rachel did a stunning job and captured some amazing images, thanks for sharing your talents :o)

I love the emotion of this moment. She was so happy she just could not contain it anymore.

I love tender moments like this.

The newlyweds

Recognize these two? Stephanie + Richard are an amazing couple who's wedding I photographed last November. They're expecting their first child later this year! I'm so excited and happy for you guys! So happy, in fact, I plan to crash their family vacation in Florida in May for some maternity shots on the beach. Can't wait!

What's better than a cake? A whole table of them of course!

After the toasts, we stold a few minutes outside for some shots at sunset. Be sure to click on this one to see it bigger, the small version doesn't do it justice.

I love love love this! Reminds me of Paris.

I can't get over the pretty light. It really was a photographers dream!

Dancing in the street outside the Memorial Auditorium. How cute is that!

Thanks so much to Chassie + Kirt, their families and the amazing guests. We had an absolute blast with you all!

MacBook Camera Fun

I dropped by my old stomping ground yesterday to say 'hi' to the guys and gals at the Messenger. While I was there, we had a little fun with the MacBook camera feature.

My friend and part-time assistant, Rachel.

Some version of me, kinda.

My, my, what BIG teeth you have... - I'm totally using this as her bio picture on the new website! >:-D

All in all, I think it confirmed that my friends are idiots. LOL I wouldn't have it any other way though.

Alicia + Alan - The Wedding

March 10, Chattanooga, TN
Ceremony || Mizpah Congregation
Reception || Read House Hotel
Coordination ||
Soirees
Floral Design ||
Ensign
Cake Design || Cake Gallery

Wedding Attire || Monica's

We first met Alicia + Alan a few weeks ago during their engagement shoot at the marina. It was pretty clear then that these two were madly in love. I'm so excited to share with you some of my favorites of their wedding day. Most of their day was spent together and the theme throughout the day was to soak in the surroundings and truly enjoy the wedding.

We begin our journey with the beautiful bride, Alicia...

Her beautiful dress, one of my favorite images of the day.

An amazing ring shot by the fabulous Erika.

Jimmy Choo stold the show and had his own private photo shoot.

I love the reflections in the floor, it really adds depth to an already beautiful room.

Alicia + Alan decided to break the mold of tradition and see each other before the ceremony. Just because you choose to see each other early, doesn't mean you give up the incredible moment of "at first sight."

Alan surprised Alicia with a beautiful music box and some extra bling.

Not only are the words that come out of this man's mouth sweet as sugar, but he writes love letters too!

I love this, Alan came through the gate and saw his bride for the first time. He was actually speechless.

I love how happy these two make each other. Alicia is not only beautiful but she's absolutely beaming in these pictures.

I'm pretty sure that neither one of these two realize how awesome they really are. Our usual couple's time is spent with us setting up a romantic spot and guiding the nervous groom through some romantic action. Other than just general direction on where to walk and look, I didn't open my mouth the entire time we shot these. It really adds a genuine connection to the images.

The ceremony before the ceremony.

These two are so sentimental and really tried to soak in the emotion of every moment. I love that.

Major kudos to those who designed the Mizpah. This place is a wedding photographer's dream come true. Not only functional but beautiful too!

Here comes the bride.

The Rabbi's face is priceless, I love this picture.

Mr + Mrs.

The reception was held at the gorgeous Read House Hotel.

Enter into the Silver ballroom.

The Soiree's + Read House staff did an absolutely stunning job with this room. Every detail was perfect!

Floral design by Ensign

Introducing... the first of many dances.

Cake design by the Cake Gallery.

I love this moment, the grandfather of the groom toasts the happy couple.

A priceless moment captured by the fabulous Ricki Chester.

Coming in with just shy of 1200 images and 13 hours of wedding coverage. See all the moments unfold in the online gallery.
